Not the Touchy-Feely Type

I wish I could just hug you for real without it being awkward. You always flinch away or tense up, and I hate that. If only you knew how beautiful your eyes are, or how your hair curls like black moonlight around the stars. Then maybe I could hold your hand, or just do something that would show you how much you mean to me. If only you knew that the way you walk makes me want to run, and I usually only run if I'm chased, because I'm not in the best of shape. When you speak, it's like listening to my favorite song, and when you laugh my heart beats a lot faster than it probably should. But you're not the touchy-feely type, and I can't make you be. You aren't the kind that wants to hold hands... or are you? I don't really know, but I'd like to. Are you anywhere near this infatuated with me? Probably not. But that's alright, I'll just sit here and write sappy poetry and awkward songs that I'll never remember for you. I usually don't get too much further than that with a girl anyway. I'm like a hopeless romantic, but to the utmost extreme.
